As you can see I´ve played a bit from Dark souls 2, where only the whip was unparriable, for obvious reasons. But, this is a new meta.Took me like 150 hours of failures in pvp and points down, until I went to read a wiki and to learn, that like every second weapon ingame is now unparriable - because - no idea why. Even the same weapons spam I used to parry now doesn´t work, greatsword, zweihander etc. Estus drinking unpunishable, hunter charm useless, because if you are actually that bad and you get hit by it, in few seconds it´s over anyway so what does it matter. That´s the pvp now in shortcut. Originally posted by:Big weapons get wrecked by a fast weapon and reactive playstyle. May 26, 2018 Project 3 To 1 this mod is a weapon replacer mod in which you can replace an existing weapon to a new look of dark souls 3 featured weapons. The list of weapon that is available are. Dark Souls – Daggers-DaggerIt is a lightweight weapon which won't require much strength to use it and would allow you fight fast.
Ultra users have to be creative and bait them or rollcatch them with charged r2ss or WA. I don't know what kind of game you're playing but if you mindlessly swing at an ultra user you will get destroyed. No, you are very wrong there. You can´t interupt anything. What I´ve noticed is, that the poise now, is not related to the armor, but your weapon weight. If you play with some ultra great hammer and you actually spam R1, nothing and I repeat it once more, NOTHING can stop you. If you play with some ultra great hammer and you actually spam R1, nothing and I repeat it once more, NOTHING can stop you. Keep believing what you want then and keep dying to the same things over and over. I would fight any ultra user with a dagger any day and there is nothing they can do.In laggy fights where there is obvious delay against an opponent, fast weapons are at a disadvantage, especially if your opponent attacks every time you get close. But in a normal duel, you can interrupt almost every ultra weapon before it fully swings with a fast weapon. This is 1300 hours of experience talking, you can ask any player who has played the game long enough and they will tell you the same. Guys I am talking about R1 spam. I know the greatweapons are slow and easy to dodge.
If I´d want to play defensively they would not ever kill me in this game. But my point is, how to fight their R1 spam. I personally, OBVIOUSLY I am laggy and always was during my 280 hours of Dark souls 3 experience, because I never ever stopped opponent´s R1 spam with great weapon. You can stunlock them with dagger for example, I agree there, but only and only, if they are not attacking. Once in attack animation, their spam is unstoppable. All my fights against great weapons look absolutely same.
I just roll around and roll around and again roll around, until they´r finally out of stamina so I can do something, but mostly after they finish their spam they just roll back, stamina is back in moment, so here we go once again. Eventually I kill them somehow, manage to get a backstab or punish the roll back I talked about. Or, I just hit them too early and this 'trade' ends up with me receiving 2 hits from great weapon, which is like most of my health. I don´t know. When they removed the parry option here, they fkd up. If it took you 150hrs to realized something changed. That is on you ,Also I don't know what your smoking.
But you can break folks out of R1's with anything. Because they are slow it is not hard to attack before they even get a swing off. Hell you can break some hyper armor right after the 1st swing before they get the 2nd off. Once the 2nd swing goes off your mostly free to go crazy.I don't use this often but this honestly sounds like a git gud situation. Outside of going against someone who can parry like a god. There is a reason straight swords reign supreme and a ss isn't an ultra.
After listing my, it is time to jump into some truly great weapon design. This list was actually way harder than I expected it to be.
There are so many interesting and unique weapon designs in Dark Souls 2 that narrowing it down to only ten was rough. Before any of you neckbeards call me out, this is mostly a list based solely on aesthetics (a couple I mention other stuff, but still). Stats are largely irrelevant, I don’t care which one will PvP the best, or kill King Vendrick the fastest. So without further adieu. Soup m’lady? From Software knows how to troll their players. From absurd difficulty to invisible weapons rings tied to challenges(no bonfire & no death) From has trolled many players throughout the series.
Arguably their best troll is the Handmaiden’s Ladle. The Handmaiden’s Ladle weapon description is incredibly written, “An ordinary kitchen ladle. He who chooses this as a weapon either faces extenuating circumstances or has an odd sense of humor. If you care for your life, leave this one in the kitchen”. Doing a meager amount of damage the ladle is straight up useless, however a few masochists out there have astonishingly completed. Just the overall absurdness of this weapon lands it at number 10 on my list.9.
Washing Pole. Put out the wash sonWhat’s better then a normal katana? Why an over sized one! The Washing Pole hit the PvP scene hard, as it provided an incredible amount of reach, damage and speed. The weapon design is pretty plain, however the blade itself is just so incredibly long. This blade together with Alonne’s armor(in the pic),.
Weapon description, “ A katana of unknown origin. Crafted with a peculiar yet refined technique. The extremely long blade allows for strikes from great distance, but its construction makes it extremely fragile.” Interestingly this weapon made the jump from DS to DS2 and I am glad it did. You will see a common theme emerge throughout this list, that I love ridiculously large weapons.8. Ivory Straight Sword. Remember above when I said I liked ridiculously large weapons? Well this one is not ridiculously large at all.
By now you a saying, “Enrico you’re a size man, why is this sword on your list?” I’m glad you asked. The Ivory Straight Sword, came out with the winter themed Crown of the Ivory King DLC.
What is interesting about this weapon(and why it is on the list) is the fact that it is literally the closest you can get to a lightsaber in the Dark Souls 2 universe. When wielding this sword with the proper stats, certain attacks cause the sword to emit a beam of light, damaging those it hits. The design of the hilt is actually super interesting as well as it looks like it was crafted from the tusk of an elephant or rhino, the hilt really sells the whole “Ivory King” theme.7. Where’s the blade?Up until now, you are probably pretty bored. The weapons aren’t that interesting, and shouldn’t be on this list.
Well aside from being incredibly wrong, I am about to blow your mind. Number 9 on the list was a katana and I have another one for you. Darkdrift is a super unique weapon for one main reason. The blade itself is translucent and only really visible in certain instances(doing an action or putting the camera at a specific angle). Star crossed book. I really like this design and think it makes the weapon look incredible. “This katana was originally wielded by the one who gave us first death, and still exists imperfectly between planes.” This description really gets my nerd juices flowing. I think visually this katana looks amazing.
The intermitent flashes of the blade add to the overall feel and presentation of the weapon.6. Gyrm Greataxe. And my axeProbably the best looking axe in the game is the Gyrm Greataxe.
The axe screams interesting design. It has a very ‘Middle Earth’ feel to it. I could easily see Gimli wielding such a weapon. Everything about this weapon is interesting. The dual blades.
The unique gold accents. The weapon posture. I could go on and on.
“ A greataxe used by the nomadic Gyrm. At first glance this greataxe appears crude, but with further examination one sees the fine craftsmanship of Gyrm blacksmiths. Quite heavy for a human, but swung about with reckless abandon by the Gyrm.”.
